Microstructure and precipitation behavior of advanced RAFM steels for high-temperature applications on fusion reactors

نویسندگان

چکیده

The composition of new eigth 9% Cr reduced activation ferritic/martensitioc steels (RAFMs) has been finely tuned in order to increase the amount fine MX precipitates and reduce coarse M23C6 carbides through application thermomechanical treatments. microstructural investigations by TEM/STEM EELS have shown M23C6, M2X (Cr2N), (Ta, V, Ti-rich) after tempering at 750 °C/2 h. Higher N contens (0.04–0.03 wt%) seems favored precipitation over with V contents round 0.2 wt%. MX-Ti rich presents sizes larger than (Ta or rich). anlysis that Ti rich) precipitated h are mainly carbo-nitrides. Composition, size, number density carbon nitrogen content on is discussed terms each Alloy.

High Temperature Behavior of Dual Phase Steels

Dual phase steels with different martensite volume fraction and morphology were tensile tested at a temperature range of 25 to 5500C. Stress-strain curves of all steels showed serration flow at temperatures of 250 and 3500C, and smooth flow at the other temperatures. Both yield and ultimate tensile strengths increased with increasing testing temperature up to about 450<sup...
